A Yorkshire welcome
since time out of mind.
The Frankland Arms has stood on Ingramgate, just a stone's throw from Thirsk's market square, for as long as anyone in town can remember. What's stayed the same is what matters: a proper pint, an honest welcome, and the feeling that you've stumbled into someone's much nicer front room.
Inside you'll find scrubbed wooden tables, a warm welcome, and bar staff who'll remember your order by the second visit. The shelves are stacked with rare gins, aged whiskeys and small-batch rums — all chosen because we'd happily drink them ourselves.
On weekends, the corner gives way to live music — folk, blues, occasionally something rowdier. In summer, the outdoor seating fills with locals and walkers off the Yorkshire Dales. We do take reservations, so feel free to call ahead.
Pop in. We'll save you a seat at the bar.
